The direct hand-to-clay method of pinch, coil and slab construction begs attention to a nuanced touch. In careful conversation with the clay, I hand craft smoke fired vessels and seedpods as an antidote for our fast paced technological lives. My aim is to distill my sensory experience and highlight the astounding beauty and quiet wisdom of our forests .

As a guest at Alison Palmer’s Studio, I am excited to share my newest seed pods. With this work, I want to convey both the overarching importance of seed biodiversity for our planet’s survival and the aesthetic allure of the dormant seed that lays quiet, ready to burst forth with its unique contribution to the forest ecosystem.
