I have been drawing ever since I can remember. It has always been part of my life. When I discovered pottery in my late 20’s, I immediately started integrating my drawings into my pottery making, and my passion for ceramics was born. I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art with degrees in painting and ceramics, and promptly set up a studio in my parents unheated garage to begin my pottery career. Today, I have been a full-time potter for over 30 years. I fire in a variety of kilns, including a wood/salt kiln that I built at my studio in Western Massachusetts, making functional pots in stoneware and porcelain. The one thing that has connected my pottery over the years is my obsession with covering my pots with drawings of all sorts. I still love making pottery, and every day in the studio is a new adventure.
