I grew up surrounded by clay, kilns, and the rhythms of a working pottery. With two production potters as parents, I developed an early appreciation for functional pots. After spending the last ten years working in the film industry, I’m now returning to my roots and beginning to make my own wood-fired pots influenced by folk traditions.

I've spent the past year with Todd Piker at Cornwall Bridge Pottery, where I spend my days refining my skills at the wheel, testing glazes, and working to fill his 600-cubic-foot cross-draft kiln along with Sanah Petersen.

My work is grounded in tradition. I use historical forms to guide and inform modern function, always chasing that balance between control and unpredictability that wood firing offers. For me, ceramics is about more than individual expression—it’s about community: shared labor, ideas, and the experience of bringing clay to life through fire.
